بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Masjid Bait Allah is a community masjid on S. Calhoun Street — a dynamic community devoted to developing an Islamic life. Whether you are here for a single prayer or you have prayed with us for years, you belong here.

Who we are
The community began around 2007 as a small group who rented space to pray and to study together. As the congregation grew, so did the need for something lasting. After a long search we found this building, and by the mercy of Allah we were able to purchase it — and it is now completely paid for.
We stand on the fundamentals of Islam, abiding by the guidance of the Book of Allah and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Our aim is simple: to keep expanding what we can offer, and to bring positive change to our city and our community.
What we offer
Everything here is open to the whole community — members, neighbours, and visitors alike.
The masjid opens for every salah, with iqamah times posted on the timetable. Jumu'ah is held every Friday and all are welcome.
Circles for tajweed, memorisation, and the fundamentals of the deen — for adults and for children, at every level.
We collect and distribute zakat and sadaqah locally, so that what is given in this neighbourhood stays in this neighbourhood.
Losing someone is hard enough. We help families with janazah arrangements and with funeral expenses where there is need.
Financial assistance for members of the community facing hardship — quietly, and without a long queue of paperwork.
Nightly iftar meals and tarawih prayers through the blessed month, served by volunteers from the community.

Revitalization
Allah has blessed this community with a large piece of real estate in a prime location in Baltimore City — and it is completely paid for. Baltimore is the sister city of Washington DC, which transformed over two decades. We believe our city is standing at the same threshold.
The building needs work. Some of it is already done; much of it is still ahead of us. Every phase we finish means more room for prayer, for classes, and for the services our neighbours rely on.
What's happening
Regular programmes and news from the masjid. For the full weekly timetable, see our programmes page.
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ
“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day.”Surah At-Tawbah, 9:18
Every prayer held here, every class taught, and every family helped is carried by the giving of this community. Give once, or give a little every month — both matter.
