Volunteers keep the classes, the meals, and the assistance programme running. That is sadaqah too.

If you are unsure which applies to you, ask us — we would rather help you work it out than have you guess.
The mandatory charitable contribution given to the poor or to those in need of assistance. It is calculated at 2.5% of total savings held above the nisab threshold for a full lunar year.
Charity taken for the poor in the last days of Ramadan, before the Eid prayer. It is approximately $10 per member of the household.
The voluntary giving of alms or charity, with the intention of pleasing Allah. Any amount, at any time — and it need not be money.
Please note: when sending zakat electronically, add “zakat” or “zakatul fitr” to the note. Zakat is held and distributed separately from general donations, in line with its rulings.
